WE HAVE PURE HEARTS! - What a psychologist says about fangirls
Tuesday, November 29, 2011
A friend showed us this article about kpop Fangirls that has been circulating around tumblr for quite sometime. ITS SO DAMN MEANINGFUL THAT I THOUGHT U GUYS SHOULD READ IT!
What a psychologist says about fangirls
A psychologist says: “Don’t underestimate those children who chase after Korean celebrities, their hearts are purer than anyone else, they love courageously, they will want to try their best to tackle difficult obstacles, the language and cultural barriers. They symbolise peace, they don’t discriminate based on race, they befriend people with the same interest from different countries, they’re more passionate and warm than anyone else. They don’t betray the ones they like easily, they are persistent and don’t give up easily. They are stronger than anyone else on the inside, because when they are loving these Korean stars, they experience the setbacks they’ve never experienced in life. They are all sensitive children, easily touched to tears for a long time because of one incident.
Through investigation, most of them understand gratitude. Their way of thinking is different from others, they don’t easily get carried away by love, they don’t harbour thoughts of doing bad things, and their criteria when looking for a partner is very high, other than looks, personality is more important, so the rate of marriage isn’t high, but neither is the rate of divorce.
Their memory is very good, they can easily remember the korean lyrics they don’t understand, and their coordination skills are also very strong. Most of them are cheerful children, not the kind who keep to themselves. Their will of determination is also very strong, they are able to persevere all the way just to buy something related to the celebrity they like.
In short, the way these children think is vastly different from others, and their thoughts are not easy to understand. Generally, only those who have similar interests are able to enter their world.”

Omo i have so many feelings. I bet you too out there. Being a kpop fangirl/fanboy is like getting on a roller coaster ride; there are the ups and the downs, plus all the excitement and fears, laughter and tears, the only difference is that we never ever want this ride to come to an end.
Cheers to all kpop fangirls and fanboys out there!

Super Kpop is gna be on radio tomorrow 22/11 on efm 101.3, a Seoul based radio program, on K-popular with As One! You can tune in here~~ to catch us talking about how we got into kpop etc. :)
A while back we did a review on the Super Junior Shake. (Read it here.)
AND NOW THEY HAVE RELEASED THE GIRLS' GENERATION VERSION!!! /SOBBING AND CRYING.
Promo vid to showcase this amazing game.
ELFS have the Super Junior shake and now SONES have the SNSD shake! What I really like about it is that it is PINKKKKK. Not wanting to sound overly girlish or anything but the layout, background colour and style is very nice.
SEEEE. Well gamewise and all that is basically the same concept as the SJ shake, wit h the tap modes and shake modes as well as the card collecting thingy.
Downside is if you want to save money, you probably cant play the full songs. Only the short play is available for the free download. Upside, they provide 3 songs for preview and you can start collecting cards without paying money. However I would strongly suggest you pay for the song pack because it is a little killjoy when the music stops playing halfway through. Overall, only provided 6 SNSD songs from THE BOYS album have been available for play. which is a little sad. Hopefully they can add in more songs and older songs in time to come.
Meanwhile have fun playing! I really love this game, so addictive!
It is so exciting for the MAMA awards to be held in tiny Singapore. When we discovered Kpop, Singapore was virtually a desert. No artistes wanted to come, no companies wanted to organize a concert for them. ONly big shots like Rain and Shinhwa did get to Singapore. (We did write to companies to see if they would bring in Super Junior or TVXQ but they were all no, there might not be a market, it would be too expensive. Well look what they missed out on. Thank god Singapore has RITS who managed to bring in SJ, SNSD, SHINee and now TVXQ) And now, Singapore is like the IN place for kpop artistes to come. :D
Anyway, remember to vote for your favourite bands to win!
Sometimes we feel like setting ourselves on fire when we try to write essays like,
But it helps if you are trying to write about something wonderful and something that you feel passionately for. Like KPOP!!!
I know because I have tried to squeeze in stuff like the Korean/Hallyu wave and the use of it as soft power to gain dominance in the world (kpop fuels a large economy). Or how technology has evolved leading to spread of cultures(korean culture) so fast. Or using KPOP to show emergence of youth cultures which turn into mainstream cultures. The best part is of course using group bands in exam essays like a boss! Eg, We can see how TVXQ has managed to break into many global markets and they even have the largest fanclub in the world! or SM Entertainment, a korean talent agency managed to have sold out concerts at Madison Square at NYC, an incredible feat for them considering they have not officially debuted in the US.
Well here is an article by Linda Constant which might be helpful for you people out there needing to write essays regarding Hallyu. Can erm, borrow some ideas about how kpop is one of the ways soft power is exerted over the world. And in her article we see how KPOP is taking over the world baby~~ Share the Kpop love everyone!
Super 7 said, "There are a few SNSD members that can sing and dance well, but the rest of the members have no special appeals. The SNSD girls have all undergone plastic surgery, but we are natural beauties and their bodies can’t even compare to ours.”
They then quickly changed their attitude by saying, “We’re not saying that we will ever be able to be better than SNSD, but we will view them as our role models.”
The concept behind Super 7 is that their average age is only 22, and that they all have ‘C’ cup chest sizes.
My Reaction:
Seriously, that kind of nerves they have!
Firstly, snsd is not all plastic, secondly, super7 might be natural but definitely no beauties. LOOK, JUST LOOK,
They look just like domestic helpers. COMPARE.
(credits: bestmaids.com.sg)
To me, theres no difference. Or maybe there is, some maids there look so much prettier.
And the "bodies can't be compared to us" part, WHO GIVES A DAMN ABOUT YOUR C-CUP NEHNEHPOK? See, the thing why most chinese girls group don't make it big is because they always focus on the wrong wrong things. Take for example the female F4 that debuted quite some time ago, their focus was on ther F-cup breast. Those dirty thangs. Hey, STAY CLASSY YOU KNOW CLASS?
F4.
You don't sell your cleavage in the mainstream market okay.
But then again, maybe thats why they say such brainless stuffs because you know in chinese, they are "xiong da wu nao", which translates to big boobs without brains. So words probably go through their boobs instead of their brains before coming out of their mouth.
By the way, heres their mv if you havent seen it yet. Throw your hates everyone. They "borrowed" snsd's Hoot outfits because SNSD are their ROLE MODELS. *PUI*
Their title song mai luo so, which translates to Don't Nag or whatever. Its in Hokkien, or rather TaiYu, a chinese dialect, not exactly a chinese song.
Go on and click, dont be afraid that you will contribute to the increase in views, just dislike it at the end of the video (if you ever reach the end of it), because it has already reached a million viewers and this is the first time i see a popular video having more hates than likes (except for rebecca black of course)....
I dont even know how they have the face to call themselves the Taiwanese version of SNSD, no face, no talent, nothin; the only winning part is the boobs and the bravery they have to insult asia's biggest girl band without thinking about consequences. They should be called like 大奶时代 (big boobs generation) instead if they SOOOO wanna be like snsd.
THAT BLOODY OUTFIT.BURN IT ALREADY.
Wait, is there 10 people i see on their album cover? Super 7 or Super 10? BRAINS? WHERE???!
So i know their intention was to probably gain (negative) media attention, and i probably shouldn't be blogging about this thing. And i guess, the "attention" they intended has already surpassed what they have expect. Oh wait, or maybe not YET :
credits:pterloves-snshidae @tumblr
But seriously, they are soooooo overboard okay.
You can sit down and reason with a terrorist, but when you see an offended SONE (or ELF),throw in the white flag and run!!!
You know, we people here at super-kpop are not c-pop haters, in fact, we love mandarin songs, we grew up with it and have so maaany feelings for it. But i just wished they had better things to contribute than all these low-standard craps they are giving nowadays because kpop has drawn away most of the support they use to have. Prove it with your real abilities, please?
-doreen
/shuyan would like to add,
I saw this group, Super 7 on television this morning on some taiwanese talk show. And they REALLY ARE NOT BEAUTIES. They can't really go on about being natural beauties when 1) they are not even remotely pretty and 2) look at the amount of artificial enhances they wear. Thick FAKE eyelashes, Iris enlarging cosmetic lenses and the list goes on.
It is also kinda shocking how they were all like we are more natural than SNSD when in the first place they used SNSD as a stepping stone as a climb to fame by shamelessly using their songs, chereography and even outfits.
We do not unreasonably bash people here on SKP but if you dare to make such statements, you are just asking for a slap across the face. I totaly see them not lasting long in this industry.
We did an article here on how Big Bang was one of the nominees for the Worldwide Act. Well well, look what has happened.
CONGRATULATIONS BIG BANG ON WINNING THE WORLD WIDE ACT AT THE EMAs!!!!
This is so amazing! For a kpop act to win over big names like Britney it is serious, woah, hello to world domination! All you VIPs are awesome or whuttttt?
P/s: What is up with lumping India, Middle East and Africa together for the nominees?!?! Do they even listen to the same music?!
Her recent photoshoot from vogue i think. I wanted to do a wallpaper of this concept for quite some time, and finally this set of pictures came out and its perfect!! (plus my exams are over!!! YAY)

do join our november giveaway!...lastly, stay safe! :D
But anyway, why is this so special and why are we telling you about this here at Super-Kpop?
Because this proves that people are taking note of Kpop! Cheer for the hallyu wave!
Ok, MTV Iggy is not entirely about Kpop, it aims to connect U.S. audiences with global music culture which includes Kpop! :D So you can check out MTV Iggy if you want to experience more international music culture. However, most artistes they promotes seem to not be mainstream artistes. (I've looked at the Japanese and Taiwanese artistes and I am like NUGU??) So yeah, they tend to be more unique and MTV Iggy is a good way to discover these un-mainstream acts!
For Kpop however, they promote artistes like BoA, 2NE1 and Se7en just to name a few (mainstream!). Kpop artistes breaking into the USA will be featured on the shows I guess so do watch out for that. They feature stuff like interviews and photos, reviews and scenes!
We just think it is cool you know, that Kpop is no longer limited only on the Asian branch of MTV like MTV China and MTV SEA and is getting exposed to the US and a larger range of audiences all over the world now. So do check it out!
P/s: Discovered new Kpop act while surfing MTV Iggy. IDIOTAPE. Well their music ain't really my thing, but yay to know more about different Korean acts!

"The music of ‘Love Light’ was written some time ago. When I thought of you (Seohyun), I started to put in the lyrics for the song. For the rap part, I thought of SNSD’s ‘Tell Me Your Wish’ and that was how ‘I’m genie for you girl’ came about.” - YongHwa, C.N Blue
